Come and experience a HYROX Simulation Event right here in the Illawarra!
Join the HYROX Affiliated Clubs of the Illawarra as we bring a HYROX-style fitness event to our local community. You can race solo or grab your mates and form a Relay Team. Best of all, this is a modified version of the full HYROX race – the perfect opportunity to test your fitness and see if you’re ready to take on the full HYROX event in Sydney this July.
We are proud to be supporting Youth Off The Streets, with a portion of every entry fee donated directly to this incredible charity.

This event is for everyone! Whether you’re a seasoned HYROX athlete looking for a fast, high-intensity hit-out, or new to HYROX and wanting a taste of what it’s all about, this event delivers. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience a HYROX-style race right here in our Illawarra backyard at the University of Wollongong.
Participants will complete a series of exercises in order. All running will take place on the synthetic hockey turf, providing ideal conditions for fast, efficient running.
Each run is followed by a strength-based or erg station indoors in the Sports Hub Arena, where friends and family can get up close to spectate, cheer, and be part of the atmosphere.

Relay teams comprise of 3 people – each person must complete 2 x runs and 2 x stations in order.
Eg. Relay person 1 (run 500; Skierg; run 500m; 40m Burpee broad jumps) then tags to the next and so forth. When entering your Relay Team, only one person needs to register the team name.

UOW Fittest Student – Must pre-qaulify for this event

HALFROX Illawarra will incorporate the 2026 UOW Fittest Student competition!
Do you think you have what it takes to take the Podium? There will be preliminary fitness test/heat to determine who will qualify for the fastest eight males and females to race on the 26th April.
