UniActive’s 2026 Female Athlete High-Performance Program builds on the success of the 2024 and 2025 programs, specifically designed for female footballers. The program offers individualised training and high-performance athlete support for female footballers aged 14-18 (Year 9 and above) across all sports.
This program enhances athletic performance and mental resilience while integrating key components such as strength and conditioning football-specific training, female health education and nutrition. It supplements existing club and school training during the off season with a holistic approach to supporting the overall growth and success of female athletes.
Through partnerships with local associations, clubs, and schools, we aim to create a seamless, supportive pathway for female athletes to reach their full potential.
The Wollongong Wolves will be supporting the football component of the program by offering full scholarships to all female footballers selected to participate in the 2026 program running during term 4.
Throughout the program, there will be common focus themes interwoven into all sessions.
Decelop techniques that enhance physical strength, endurance, and overall athletic performance.
Receive tailored, football-specific training to refine technique and improve individual performance.
Understand the unique health needs of female athletes, addressing critical considerations for optimal performance.
Gain practical strategies to boost focus, resilience, and confidence, empowering athletes both on and off the field.
Learn essential principles that support peak performance and effective recovery.
Explore how your high-performance mindset can manifest off the field, whether that be through sport pathways or career opportunities to guide future decisions and growth.
UniActive is excited to announce a partnership with the Wollongong Wolves to bring the UniActive and Wollongong Wolves Female High-Performance Football Program to the UOW Wollongong Campus, which supports and develops elite female footballers in the Illawarra region.
