Adult · Stage 2
Stroke Development
Strong emphasis on stroke correction, body position, breathing, and movement efficiency across all four strokes. Supported by targeted drills and direct coach feedback.
Fitness is developed progressively, but the primary goal is swimming well rather than swimming hard. The natural next step after Adult Learn to Swim, or for adults returning to swimming and refining technique before moving into Swim for Fitness.
Best suited for: Adults seeking technical improvement and a strong foundation for long-term swimming performance.
Adult · Stage 3
Swim for Fitness
Interval-based and continuous swimming sets in a structured, coached environment. Swimmers are grouped by ability, encouraging personal progression, pacing, and consistency — with a light competitive edge.
Coaches provide technique cues to maintain efficiency as intensity increases, though detailed stroke correction is not the primary focus. Swimmers looking to train towards competitive goals can progress from here into Performance Training.
Best suited for: Adults who enjoy structured training and personal improvement with a non-pressured competitive element.
Adult · Stage 4
Performance Training
The final stage of the adult pathway — for swimmers training towards competitive events including triathlon, open water swims, and pool swimming competitions.
Pace-based programming designed to drive specific physiological adaptations. Training intensities are prescribed from individual swim times, ensuring each swimmer works in the correct energy systems for endurance, speed, and race fitness, with emphasis on pacing accuracy, technical consistency, and structured progression towards event goals.
Best suited for: Swimmers with a solid foundation preparing for triathlon, open water, or pool competition, comfortable following pace-based training sets.
Junior
Junior Aquatics
Structured programs for younger swimmers building fitness and technique through to athletes preparing for competitive performance. Clear pathway from Junior Squad through to Transition Squad.

Best suited for: Juniors at any level looking for structured progression in a full 50-metre pool environment.
