CHOOSE A GOAL, BET ON YOURSELF

Bet on Yourself is a personal commitment challenge that encourages you to set a meaningful goal and hold yourself accountable for achieving it. Whether you want to complete your first half marathon, attend the gym consistently, master a new skill, or achieve a personal milestone – this challenge is unique to you!

Successful completion of your bet will earn you a $25 UniActive club credit and entry to the major prize draw thanks to Elite Supplements.

Starts Monday, 7 September – Sunday, 1 November

Cost: $49

  • Pre- and post-challenge goal setting sessions: make your goals measurable, accountable and achievable.
  • 2 x Testing sessions: Benchmark your fitness at the start and end of the challenge to help set your goals.
  • Fortnightly check-in with a trainer for guidance and support.
  • Community Accountability: Access to a supportive chat group for motivation and shared progress.
  • Access to special active social events to meet with other challenge participants.

Each week, we will also be awarding the ‘Challenger of the Week’ with a Celsius Live Fit prize pack.

FAQs

WHAT KIND OF GOALS CAN I CHOOSE?

Goals need to be fitness-based, so either Strength, Performance, or Body Composition. Goals must be:

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Achievable within the challenge period
  • Verifiable

Examples include:

  • Run 10km in under 50 minutes.
  • Attend 30 gym sessions over the 8-week challenge period.
  • Lose 5kg bodyfat by the end of the challenge.
  • Complete 10 consecutive unassisted pull-ups.
  • Increase my squat 5RM from 80kg to 100kg.
WHAT GOALS ARE NOT ALLOWED?

Goals that are vague, subjective, unsafe, unrealistic or difficult to verify may not be approved.

Examples:

  • “Get fitter.”
  • “Eat healthier.”
  • “Be more active.”
  • “Lose weight” (if no measurable target is specified).
WHO DECIDES IF MY GOAL IS APPROVED?

All goals will be reviewed by UniActive staff before the challenge begins. Staff may request changes to ensure goals are measurable and verifiable. UniActive staff will review the evidence provided and determine whether the goal has been successfully completed.

HOW DO I PROVE I'VE COMPLETED MY GOAL

Each term introduces two different sports, helping children develop a wide range of fundamental movement skills.

Example sports include:

  • Soccer
  • Cricket
  • Basketball
  • Rugby League
  • Athletics
  • Tennis

The focus is on developing skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, balance and coordination.

HOW MUCH DO LESSIONS COST?

The program runs for 10 weeks at a cost of $160.

WHEN DO THE LESSONS RUN?

Classes run on Wednesdays, starting July 22, at the UniActive Sports Hub, Building 9

Class times are:

  • 8:30AM – 9:15AM = 2.5 – 3 years old
  • 9:30AM – 10:15AM = 4 – 5 years old
EXAMPLE CLASS STRUCTURE

A typical session follows a structured but fun format:

Welcome & Warm-Up
Fun movement activities to prepare children for the session

Skill Development Activities
Age-appropriate drills focusing on fundamental movement skills

Fun Games & Activities
Playful activities focused on movement, coordination and fun

Cool Down & Stretch
Light stretching and a positive finish to the session

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS A MEDICAL CONDITION OR AN ALLERGY?

If your child has a medical condition, allergy, or special requirement, please inform us during registration.

Our staff will ensure appropriate procedures are in place to support your childs safety during the program.

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS SICK?

If your child is sick, do not allow them to attend the program and call us to tell us.

WILL REFUNDS BE PROVIDED IF MY CHILD IS UNABLE TO ATTEND?

No refunds will be given.
