UniActive offers safe, fun and inclusive school holiday programs for kids, giving families in the Wollongong area a trusted place to keep children active and engaged. Our programs provide an exciting mix of sports and activities, with dedicated Sports Officers committed to child safety to ensure kids have a memorable and active school break!

Our April School Holiday Program dates are:

    • Tuesday, 07 April – Friday, 10 April 2026 (4 days)
    • Tuesday, 14 April – Friday, 17 April 2026 (4 days)

Pricing:

    • Early Bird = $60 per day (Until Monday, 23 March 2026 at 11:59PM)
    • Regular = $70 per day

SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE

Below is a sample schedule for our School Holiday Sport Program. The exact times may vary slightly depending on the interests of the groups, but there will always be a mix of sports, games and activities.

8:45 – 9:00 Drop-off / Welcome Activity
9:00 – 10:30 Sport & Activities
10:30 – 10:45 Morning Tea
10:45 – 12:30 Pool
12:30 – 1:00 Lunch
1:00 – 1:30 Sport & Activities

WHERE IS THE PROGRAM LOCATED?

The UniActive School Holiday Program is held at the UniActive Sports Hub, located in Building 9 at the University of Wollongong.

For convenient parking, guardians can use the P6 car park directly beneath the Sports Hub, where license plates are automatically scanned, and fees are based on time spent. If P6 is full, additional parking is available in the P5 car park; simply register your session through the Cellopark AU app.

WHAT SPORTS & ACTIVITIES WILL BE PLAYED?

There is a wide variety of sports that will be played during the school holiday program, and our Sports Officers will do their best to gauge the interest of the kids to determine the right sports for the group. Some of the most popular sports have been soccer, basketball, dodgeball, backyard cricket and touch rugby. Common fun activities to be played include stuck in the mud, naughts and crosses, relay races, giant jenga and connect-4.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING WITH THEM?

Lunch, snacks, water bottle, hat, sun protection and a change of clothes. If the child is interested in going in the pool, bring swimmers.

IS THIS THE SAME AS THE SWIM INTENSIVE PROGRAM?

This is a separate program. There is only an optional swim component to the School Holiday Sports Program. If the child is interested specifically in swim lessons, please refer them to the swim intensive lessons via Aquatics.

DOES THE SPORT PROGRAM INCLUDE THE POOL?

The Sport Program does include the pool every day. Any children whose families don’t want them to swim and/or if the children don’t want to swim, there will be dry-land activities during the pool session.

WILL LUNCH AND SNACKS BE PROVIDED?

Lunch and snacks will not be provided by UniActive. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure the child has lunch and snacks.

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS MEDICAL CONDITIONS OR ALLERGIES?

If your child has a medical condition or allergies, you must inform us. If you have declared a medical condition or allergy, our staff will be in touch to ensure we have an action plan on file to ensure we provide your child with appropriate care.

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS SICK?

If your child is sick, do not allow them to attend the program and call us to tell us.

WILL REFUNDS BE PROVIDED IF MY CHILD IS UNABLE TO ATTEND?

No refunds will be given.
