UniSport is Australia’s peak governing body for university sport in our country. UniSport positions sport as an integral part of university life and works with 43 member universities, who collectively represent more than one million students nationwide.
UniSport delivers an array of regional, national and international sporting programs, with more than 40 sports in national championship format. The biggest event on the UniSport calendar is the Division 1 and 2 National Championships, an Olympic style event in which thousands of student athletes from a wide variety of sports come together from all over the country.
Nationals will be held in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, from 7-13 September 2024 and will see over 6,000 participants from across the country battle it out to be crowned national champions in one of 31 different sports.
All UOW teams are supported by UniActive staff and our goal is to make inter-varsity sport an accessible and amazing experience for anyone who wants to take part. We organise accommodation, uniforms, pre-departure formalities and so forth, as well as accompanying the team to events to support and assist as required.
