Located in Building 13 on the University of Wollongong campus, UniActive Wollongong is open seven days a week. Our state-of-the-art facilities include an open gym, a 50m heated swimming pool, multiple group fitness studios, indoor and outdoor sports courts, a hockey turf, and several ovals. Perfect for those looking to advance their strength and power. Featuring the Hammer Strength range of plate-loaded equipment and free weights, our Strength Zone provides everything you need for an effective workout.
CARDIO ZONE
Explore the Cardio Zone, featuring over 40 pieces of cutting-edge cardio equipment with the latest interactive technology. Track your workouts, watch TV, and listen to music while you exercise.
FUNCTIONAL ZONE
Equipped with everything you need for the ultimate functional workout. Utilise TRX, kettlebells, medicine balls, sleds, boxes, agility ladders, and more to enhance your fitness routine.
SPORTS HALL
The Sports Hall is located inside Building 13 and is a versatile facility designed for a wide range of indoor activities. Whether you want to shoot hoops, play a friendly game of badminton, or enjoy volleyball, you can book one of our courts!

OVALS & FIELDS
UniActive offers eight grassed playing fields perfect for a variety of sports including cricket, soccer, rugby, AFL, Oztag, touch, and Ultimate Frisbee. Our facilities include competition-standard lighting, a scoreboard, change rooms, and a sports lounge available upon request.
Our premium all-weather sand-dressed hockey turf, located next to the Sports Hub (Building 9), is ideal for competitions, training, and lunchtime sports. The turf features lighting and change room facilities for your convenience.

UniActive provides artificial grass tennis courts, perfect for serve-and-volley enthusiasts.
Squash Courts
We also offer three glass-backed squash courts available for hire from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
SPORTS HUB (BUILDING 9)
The Sports Hub is a premier multipurpose indoor sports facility in the Illawarra and South Coast regions.
Facility Highlights:
- Court Space: 2400m² with 3 multipurpose courts
- FIBA registered for National Basketball Competitions
- Preferred by USA Volleyball and US Soccer Foundation for futsal

Located on the mezzanine level, this area is used by high-performance teams like the NSW Institute of Sport and St George Illawarra Dragons. It includes:

- Extensive functional and free weight training equipment
