About the Swim School

Swim School 2020

Swim School

Located within the University of Wollongong grounds, we have been teaching children to swim for over 25 years opening in 1990. We provide quality swimming programs by focusing on swimmers stroke technique with small class sizes. Operating out of a heated 50m outdoor pool, we cater for children from 3yrs of age onwards.

At UniActive Swim School, we accept NSW Government Active Kids Vouchers for our yearly swim programs.

Click here to access Active Kids registration page

These are to be submitted via email to pulse-swimschool@uow.edu.au and will be applied as a credit onto the nominated Active Kids recipients’ account.

You will be provided with a member card or band for each participant enrolled in our program.

These cards must be brought to each lesson and scanned at the turnstiles to register attendance.

Cards may not be used twice in one day and will not enable additional access to the pool.

Please see swim school staff or Lifeguards to grant access for parents or carers.

If you do not bring your card, please check in with swim school staff to be marked off prior to entry.

Progression and Program Assessment

SwimDesk is the software that enables you to view your child’s progress and achievements while enrolled in the program..

The program assessment system ensures that all children are individually assessed every 10 weeks.

You will be sent an email with a personalised family login upon enrolment.

Our on-deck supervisor will also be available to answer any questions regarding your child’s progress within the program.
